Samsung Galaxy A73 Review, Have a 108 MP Camera?

After spawning the Galaxy A72 in March, Samsung is allegedly preparing its successor phone which is said to be called the Galaxy A73. Leaked specifications of this middle-class phone have also spread in cyberspace. From the leaked specifications circulating, the main camera specifications of the Galaxy A73 are the most interesting. Because, this phone is said to be equipped with a main camera with a 108 MP sensor, such as the Galaxy S20 Ultra and S21 Ultra flagship phone lines. The leak emerged from the South Korean media, The Elec. The report says, even though the resolution is the same, the 108 MP camera sensor used by the Galaxy A73 is said to be different from the one embedded in the top two models of the Galaxy S line. Instead of the ISOCELL HM2/HM3 sensor, the Galaxy A73 will reportedly use a 108 MP camera sensor supplied by MCNEX and Samsung Electro-Mechanics.

However, there are also rumors that the Galaxy A73 will be equipped with a 1/1.52-inch ISOCELL HM2 sensor as used by the Galaxy S20 Ultra line. Because, the ISOCELL HM2 is the smallest 108 MP sensor that Samsung has made so far. In addition, this sensor is also equipped with an optical image stabilizer / OIS to absorb shocks when the smartphone is used to snap objects.

This sensor is considered suitable to be embedded in a middle-class phone like the Galaxy A73, as compiled from GSMArena. The same ISOCELL HM2 sensor is also seen embedded in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro phone that fills the middle class segment. If it is true that the Galaxy A73 is equipped with a 108 MP main camera, then this is a significant and very good improvement. Considering that its predecessors, the Galaxy A72 and A71, are still both equipped with a 64 MP main camera.

Leaked screen specs, chipset, RAM

As for the screen, this phone is said to be carrying a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD Plus resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels).

In terms of the kitchen, the Galaxy A73 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 730G. This chipset is said to be paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of media storage. Another leak, this phone runs the Android 11 operating system and supports 5G connectivity. The Galaxy A73 is allegedly going to launch later this year, or around December 2021, as compiled from AndroidHeadlines, Sunday (19/9/2021). However, the leaked specifications above are just rumors. So far, Samsung has not provided any information about the presence of the Galaxy A73 on the market.
